Our group of 4 aging disgracefully Aussies, spent a wonderful day with Doug. We laughed a lot, listened to all of his information, and had a small insight into the beauty of Kauai.
Travelling in a tourist bus is not for us, so having Doug show us around was a perfect day. He is knowledgable and gave us a lot of background about his island home. Doug was a great tour guide! Punctual and respected our time. We opted for a shorter than usual tour and he was able to squeeze in many beautiful sights! Very knowledgeable on island history and gave some great tips on restaurants and locations to see for the rest of our trip! Highly recommend!

I am a little late posting my review here. In May, I took my bucket list trip to Kauai. Doug played a big part in delivering on my wish to see as much beauty as I could hold in 10 hours. I absolutely LOVED every minute… including my Beyonce moment as shown in this picture… no wind machine needed!!! I often look through all the photos I have as cherished memories thanks to my 10 hour/2 day tour with Doug. Exceeded my expectations by a mile and then some. Mahalo

What a fantastic way to see this stunning island.
If you are looking for a non cookie cutter tour then Doug is your guide. He is a fountain of information and takes you to all the best spots. Relaxed, fun, informative. No waiting for the other 50 people on a tour bus to take photos and have bathroom breaks, I know we saw so much more by using Doug.

We signed up for the 4 hour trip to see Waimea Canyon. Doug was really knowledgeable about the whole island and knew the best places to get really good views and pictures. He also took us to a couple other sights of interest. We would highly recommend booking your sightseeing trip with Kauai Tour Guy.

We had an awesome tour with Doug seeing the North side on one day and the Waimea Canyon on the other. We had certain things we wanted to see and saw them all along with with other sights Doug added in. We really liked how it was our own personal tour. We were able to get so many great photos with the highlight being the views in the canyon. Doug was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed our time. Mahalo!

Doug gave us a great tour! We aren’t “bus tour” people! We didn’t want the structure of that type of tour. I was worried that I wouldn’t see everything if we rented a car. This was the perfect solution. If you can hop over to the island for a day, this is the way to go. Doug showed us his favorite places, and they became ours. It was great. What a fun way to get around. I would recommend it highly.

We had a wonderful experience with Doug! We spent 10 great hours (split into 2 days) enjoying northern Princeville including wonderful “local” beaches, the stunning lighthouse and west to the coffee plantation, breathtaking Waimea Canyon, Wailua Falls, amazing flowers and the best banana bread ever! This personal tour was the best choice for us with my husband’s handicap. We were able to go at our own pace, easy in and out of Doug’s SUV with great conversation along with his wealth of knowledge. Thank you, Doug, for a trip we will never forget!!

Thanks Doug for showing us an amazing time around Kauai! Our family was doing a day trip to Kauai and so we needed to find a tour that could show us most of the island in a short amount of time. Doug’s 10 hour tour suited us perfectly. We managed to see all the main attractions in 10 hours! There were some spectacular roadside lookouts Doug showed us that we may have missed if we hired a car ourselves.What I appreciated about Doug’s tour company is that he does the tours himself, so you know you’ll get the best service since it’s his own business! He’s also a Kauai local and so he has good knowledge of Kauai and therefore can really personalize each tour.
