Excellent tour of Kauai! Doug provided a high quality experience with numerous scenic stops along the way. Vehicle was very clean and spacious. We only visited Kauai for one day so this was a very efficient way to see a lot of the island.

We loved, loved, loved our tour! We got to see attractions we would never have seen had we done it on our own with a rental car. Doug is got the knowledge and the personality to keep you interested and engaged in all you see. We felt like Ohana sharing experiences and stories. He is passionate about what he does and it shows! We had a very short weekend and could not do the second tour, but we will be back Doug.

Great way to see Kauai. Excellent tour, personal and designed for you. No fighting a tour bus, no trying to look and drive. Doug did an excellent job, very knowledgable. We did the 2 day 10 hr tour (5 hrs each day). and I highly recommend this set up. Well worth the price. Mahalo Doug

He really made our 25th Anniversary trip special with a tailored 2 day tour of the island which was one of the highlights of our trip. Booking a two day tour of Kauai with Doug was absolutely the right choice for our family. The van was comfortable, even loaded with 7 adults and a walker! Doug showed us beauty, Hawaiian culture and history, film sites, and delicious places to eat all tailored to the mobility needs of my 86 year old mother. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who wants a superior tour of Kauai, and if we make it back to this island we will make it a point to book another tour with him!

My family did both tours and all I can say is that it was worth every penny. We were picked up and dropped off at our resort punctually on both days. Each tour is carefully planned and doesn’t stress you out. The vehicle is super comfortable and his driving is top notch. Doug took us to the major attractions all around Kauai while tricking fun facts and trivia along the way. We managed to take good pictures at all the important spots and stop for delicious lunch breaks too! He truly managed to pass on his love for Kauai onto us Europeans 😉 Thank you Douglas for showing us around your paradise island. Your knowledge and enthusiasm made every moment special. We definitely recommend Doug for any upcoming trip to Kauai!

My husband and I have visited Kauai many times and have driven to the North Shore. Yesterday, we went with Doug and had a totally different experience. Doug did a very comprehensive tour of Kauai in 5 hours. Very friendly and informative. He also advised us on a couple different tours so we could enhance our Kauai experience further. I would give him 6 stars if that was possible!!

We were on a Pride of America cruise and none of the ship’s excursions were exactly what we wanted. We were so glad to find Doug, the Kauai Tour Guy! He was easy to communicate with during planning, booking, and pickup at the cruise terminal, and did just what he said he’d do, even working in a short special interest stop, while keeping us on time. We all enjoyed and learned from his knowledge and love of Kauai. His mini-van was clean and in good condition. Our party of 6 had zero complaints about his driving skill or the itinerary. The only slightly less than positive note was that with 6 full size adults, we would have probably been more comfortable had we been a group of 4 or 5.

We had an amazing day with Doug. He was personable, knowledgeable , and welcoming . He took us to some interesting beautiful places and shared interesting tidbits along the way. Lots of fun and laughter .

Doug was great! He was very informative and fun to spend the day with on the beautiful island of Kauai. He provided insights and took us to locations the big tour companies can’t or won’t, and he answered all our questions no matter how crazy they seemed. He was also extremely accommodating, as the night prior, we requested adding friends who we met on our cruise to the tour. He is one of the reasons why we will no longer book tours with the cruise lines. His local and personal touch made it special. Mahalo, Doug!

Highly recommend Doug, the Kauai Tour Guy, for a wonderful, private tour of Kauai's west side including Waimea Canyon and Wailua Falls. We decided not to rent a car on our vacation, yet we did not want to miss seeing Waimea Canyon on our trip to Kauai. I did some research on the available guided tours and of all of them, Doug provided a private, comprehensive tour offering the most reasonable price in the market. There were no concerns with comfort - we were two seniors and three adults who rode very comfortably in Doug's very new Toyota Hybrid minivan. My husband, his brother, and his father are all well over 6 feet tall and we had no issues with space - even in the very back row! Doug is a very safe driver who knows the winding and potholed road to the top of Waimea Canyon very well. He also knew of all the best spots for photo opportunities, and was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the sites we visited on his tour. He took us to a really neat spot for lunch in the meadow with fantastic local cuisine and local brews. Importantly, Doug was very patient with our kupuna parents, and we appreciated the care and effort that he put into being our tour guide. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend Doug the Kauai Tour Guy for your next trip to Kauai. We missed out on his east side Kauai tour, but we will definitely book him for that on our next trip to the island.

Doug was a great tour guide! He clearly has a passion for the island’s history and well-being. We took the east side and north shore tour and Uncle Doug brought us to the must see areas of this part of the island and pointed out things we never would have known had we just driven around ourselves. He also had great recommendations for lunch the day of the tour and gave insight on where to go and what to see the remainder of our days there. We just returned from Kauai November 10th. We had read the reviews online about Mr. Ross and booked a day tour for our 2nd day on the island. He is extremely informative on all the locations in Kauai. It is a very comfortable ride in his new Hybrid Mini Van. The entire family was comfortable and made several stops for photos and walking tours. You will see all the Hidden Gems on Kauai. I would highly recommend using him for your local tours.

Don’t miss the canyon and don’t drive yourself. Sit back and let Doug tell you about the island and the flora and fauna. He is not only knowledgeable, he’s fun.

Not only did we get to see breathtaking sights, but we also learned history, geography, geology, botany, and so much more about Kauai!
